Tonight New Brand Wrestling presented its March event entitled Mardi Gras Mayhem at the Ellice Theatre. But now I, the Master Blogger am going to cut to the chase and get to the results.
Opening Promo: N.B.W. Heavyweight Champion Billy Blaze cuts a promo saying that when he came to New Brand, he came here for this (heavyweight title). He then had a bunch of people to thank. First off he thanked Ichigo from the Soul Society but most of all he wanted to thank Zamil for the guitar shot to the head. This brought The Z Man out to the ring who got in the face of the champ. Then if that wasn't enough, out came the Soul Society. Ichigo then got on the mic and said to Milton Jones: ''I do not recall you were in the tournament, this is my show and my belt and tonight I am dong this on my own.'' He then says ''Tonight, you are out and you guys are out'' (meaning the big guy and Ricky Rivers). Billy then says ''Before this gets out of control, I did not come here to back down, and I certainly did not come here to lose''
Opening Match: ''The Irrisistible'' Brian Rich vs. Tyler Colton - This was a contest between 2 of the fastest rising stars in CWE (Canadian Wrestling's Elite), earlier in the match the crowd chanted at Rich ''You can't wrestle'' but I know for a fact he can!!!. Rich puts Colton in an armbar but Tyler reversed it. Crowd then chanted chicken at Brian Rich to which Rich replied ''I AM NOT A CHICKEN!!'' Tyler then puts Brian in a cross armbar and takes Rich down with a shoulderblock and an armdrag takedown followed by another cross armbar. Rich would recover and deliver a stiff knee to the chest but Tyler would recover with another armbar followed by a legdrop to the arm. Rich then delivered a poke to Colton's eye followed by a leg through move but only got a 2 count. Colton delivered chops but got caught off guard with a boot by Rich. To which I replied ''A real ring a dong dandy'' Rich choked Tyler but Colton recovered with a monkey flip. The match went back and forth and forth and back which caused me to say and I quote: ''malfunction at the junction'' but in the end, Colton got the W. over Rich with a sunset flip.
Match #2: Cory Diamond vs. Ricky Rivers - This was Rivers' first match as a member of the Soul Society. Cory put Ricky in an armbar earlier in the match followed by a headlock. Rivers would recover with a knee to the gutt but Cory would fight back with a dropkick to the gutt. Ricky delivered a shot to the breadbasket and put Diamond in an armbar followed by knees to the arm. Diamond would recover with a suplex. Diamond then delivered stiff rights to Rivers and powerbombed him for good measure but only got a 2 count. Both men traded lefts and rights, Ricky delivered a Code Breaker out of nowhere for a 2 count, but in the end as Diamond went to suplex Ricky into the ring some big guy tripped him up and held on to his leg for Ricky to get the 1-2-3. My BFF who was sitting beside me asked me ''What happened?'' To which I replied ''That big guy on the outside tripped up Diamond and held on to his leg'' Complete and utter balderdash!!
Intermission: several wrestlers came out to sign autographs
Match #3: N.B.W. Tag Team Title Match - ''Dirty'' Dick Walker and ''The Rebel'' Bobby Collins vs. Pepito and ??? - Pepito's original partner La Sombra was conspicuous by his absence so Pepito went to the back and brought out Damon Marx. Marx began the match with an armbar on Collins before tagging in Pepito who delivered a jumping chop before tagging Marx back in who delivered a legdrop to the arm of the Rebel then Pepito stomped on the arm but Collins would recover with a low blow before tagging in ''The Dirty One'' who delivered a blow to Pepito. Walker tried a clothesline but Pepito met him with a cross bodyblock. Collins threw Pepito out of the ring where Walker picked up a chair and proceeded to use it his opponent. Walker and the Rebel doubleteamed Pepito some more but Pepito fired back only to be cut off by Dirty Dick who put a halfcrab on The Great One. Pepito somehow managed to tag a fired up Damon Marx but Marx ran in to a superkick from the Mid-Canada Champion for the win and the tag team titles. Bobby Collins has added yet another title to his resume and congrats on that Rebel if you are reading this. After the match Marx attacked Pepito and said that he was tired of being here. This brought out Big Cliff Corleone leading to an impromptu match.
Impromptu Match: ''Big' Cliff Corleone vs. Damon Marx - Cliff delivered a stiff clothesline to Marx who then rolled out of the ring and proceeded to head to the back while the reff started counting. Marx would eventually come back out to the ring and deliver a thumb to the eye followed by a headlock and a stiff right hand. Marx went to work on the leg to which the crowd chanted ''Boring!!'' Cliff would recover with an armbar on the outside followed by a splash in the ring. Then out came of all people Reggie Gallagher (who I hope to get a future interview with for my blog). Many people thought he was going to help Cliff considering they had teamed before but instead he attacked and helped out Marx. After the match, Cliff got on the mic saying ''next month if those guys want to get into a fight, let's take it to the streets. We are on Ellice, we'll go to Sherbrook, heck I'll take this match to Maryland if need be.
Main Event: Falls Count Anywhere Match for the NBW Heavyweight Title (Tables are legal) - Leo London vs. Billy Blaze vs. Zamil - Competing under his real name, London said prior to the match to both competitors ''you can't beat me and you can't beat me''. London a knee to Zamil before going through the ring. Leo choked Blaze on the outside. Back in the ring, Zamil and London double teamed Blaze before London slapped the Z Man and put Billy in a half crab. Zamil then dived through the ring onto Blaze. While this was happening outside the ring, inside the ring, Leo brought in chairs and delivered a European uppercut to the Z-Man. Back on the outside Leo and Blaze chased each other but Zamil put Blaze through a table. Back in the ring, London suplexed Zamil onto the chairs. Billy then set up a chair in the corner but was cut off guard by the Z-Man. London delivered a shoulder and a Van Terminator to Zamil. Blaze set up a table. The match went back and forth which again caused me to say ''This is a real ring a dong dandy as well as Malfunction at the junction!!!'' Blaze whacked Leo with a kendo stick and stiff kicked him with the stick but only got a 2 count. Zamil whacked London but also got a 2 count. Once again I said my favorite line of the night, ''Malfunction at the junction''. Zamil clotheslined Billy through the table, but in the end Blaze would retain his title. After the match, London and Blaze shook hands as a sign of respect.

Columnist's Corner With Marius
Master Blogger: Welcome once again to my weekly interview segment The Columnist's Corner and I am the Master Blogger. Fantastic reaction to last week's Cory Diamond interview. One here from Jeff in the U.S. says ''Very entertaining and well written James''. Thank you Jeff. Another e-mail here from Steve in Winnipeg says ''Master Blogger, have you ever heard of something called Article Marketing? This could get you a whole new world wide audience. Hmmmm... I will take it into consideration Steve.
Now enough of the e-mails. It's time to get to today's show. My guest this week is one of the more bizarre individuals in Steeltown Pro Wrestling, he is a former 2 time SPW Heavyweight Champion, he comes all the way from White Chapel, France, he is a member of The Family Of Darkness and he is...Marius. Welcome to the Columnist's Corner Marius.
Marius: So this is the Columnists Corner, huh?
Master Blogger: Yes it is and welcome. I am very honored to have you on my show.
Marius: As you should be but let's get on with the questions.
Master Blogger: First off some of my readers are not as familiar with you as they are my other guests that i have had. So could you tell some of my readers just a little brief history of how you broke in to the business, who your major influences were. A little brief history of the man they call Marius.
Marius: I first broke into wrestling in 2004 with the Canadian Wrestling Federation after training with Rob Stardom. I quickly won the CWF Tag Team Titles and made my way to River City Wrestling shortly thereafter. My influences have always changed over the years as I learn the different subtleties each wrestler brings to the table.
Master Blogger: How would you compare Steeltown Pro Wrestling to other promotions?
Marius: The biggest things I've seen over the years is SPW's penchant for video production and its online presence. Everything SPW does is taped for internet TV, DVD release or, starting very soon, internet PPV. If there is one word I can use to describe SPW it's consistency. They've grown one baby step at a time year after year.
Master Blogger: That's interesting to know. Can you talk about your faction, The Family Of Darkness?
Marius: Rob Stardom is like a father to me, he's mentored me throughout my career. SYKO is like a brother to me and lives in the dark, damp basement of the Marius Manor. Combined we've been an unstoppable force in Steeltown Pro. Stardom is a former 4-time TRCW Champion, SYKO a former SPW Provincial Champion and myself a former 2-time SPW Heavyweight Champion. The facts speak for themselves.
Master Blogger: Now let me ask you this Marius. This Saturday the 26th, SPW is going to be in Arborg, Manitoba and you are going to be taking on a man who you are very familiar with: Matt Fairlane. Do you have a message you want to send out to Mr. Fairlane?
Marius: The message I'll leave is in the middle of that ring when I turn Fairlane upside and plant his head through the ring with a Peyote Piledriver. Fairlane and I have had the longest, most personal feud in SPW dating back to 2008 and it has to end sometime. It's not about the SPW Heavyweight Title anymore; it's about revenge, pride, ego and hatred.
Master Blogger: Well I guess that answers my question. Anyway, at the last SPW show, they crowned a new SPW heavyweight champion. Do you have something to say to the new SPW Heavyweight Champion Ike Idol?
Marius: I held the SPW Heavyweight title through 3 different years in 2009, 2010 and 2011 totaling nearly 500 days. I defended that title across Manitoba, in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario. It took 3 men to strip me of the championship. Once this issue with Fairlane is over my attention turns to becoming a 3-time SPW Heavyweight Champion. Idol and I have been friends and we've been foes, I know what needs to be done to defeat him. Without a shadow of a doubt I'm the greatest SPW Heavyweight Champion of all time and Ike Idol will forever live in the shadows of my epic championship reign.
Master Blogger: Wow!! What are your thoughts of River City Wrestling starting up again?
Marius: This is the story of River City Wrestling. It provides work for a new crop of wrestlers. Those wrestlers improve and move on and RCW ceases to operate until a new crop needs a place to work and the cycle begins again. Whether it was Vance Nevada and Robby Royce in the early 90's, Shane Madison and Rob Stardom in the early 2000's or AJ Sanchez and Kevy Chevy circa 2005, RCW has continued to produce talent that moved on to greater things. You can't take that away from River City Wrestling, it's fact.
Master Blogger: Any final comments?
Marius: I've been doing this for 7 years now and I've only just begun. The best is yet to come. Finally, you can find out everything you need to know about Marius at http://ProjectMarius.com/.
Master Blogger: Marius, it has been an honor for the Master Blogger to speak to you for blogspot.com. Thank you for your time.
Marius: You're welcome.
Well fellow readers, as I always say: in the meantime and in between time, that's it for another edition of the Columnist's Corner. Tune in next time when my guest will be PCW Heavyweight Champion Playboy Will Damon.

Columnist's Corner With Cory Diamond
Master Blogger: Welcome to The Columnist's Corner and I am the Master Blogger. My guest this week has been CWF Junior Heavyweight Title, he has been RCW Heavyweight Champion and RCW tag team champion, he has been RME Heavyweight Champion as well as RME Tag Team Champion with Kory Kinkade and he has been New Brand Wrestling General Manager. He is Cory Diamond. Welcome to The Columnist's Corner Cory Diamond.
Cory Diamond: Hello Mr. T. Thanks for having me, how are you?
Master Blogger: I am doing very well thank you. Let's get to it. Now some of my fellow readers are not as familiar with you as they are my other guests so could you tell some of my fellow readers just how you broke into the business who your major influences were. A little brief history of Cory Diamond.
Cory Diamond: Well for starters Mr. W. Stanton was my door into this wonderfully crazy business (laughs), he then introduced me to his trainer at the time Mr. Vance Nevada who took time to train 8 of us which 5 actually made it out of the academy. My first match was at Chalmers C.C. in a tag match with young up and comer Slim Chance against Donny Dicaprio And Playboy Will Damon. Since then the fire got out of control and I was hooked! I had a serious injury early in my career but bounced back and continued to climb ladders in different promotions in Winnipeg and some across Canada. Now I'm trying a new project with a fairly new company New Brand Wrestling. Major influences locally have been... Gene Swan, Alex Rain, Vance Nevada, Reservoir Dogs, Robby Royce, Bobby Collins, Stan Saxon and Paul Diamond.
Master Blogger: How would you compare New Brand Wrestling to other promotions?
Cory Diamond: Well as being a newer promotion, I feel it is important to give equal opportunities to brand new guys who want to learn as well as the Vets who still want to work and offer their knowledge to these young guys. As for comparission... We offer a safe breeding ground for the young guys to develop their skills and gain experience, and at the same time the long time vets have a place where they don't have to compete and are respected by the younger guys on the crew.
Cory Diamond: That is correct James. It is not always rainbows and butterflies, there are egos and politics that can make anyone go bald. I'm walking proof (laughs). As for General Manager in the future it is still early in the game to comment. The lawyers from both parties are hashing it out, there is a lot of red tape still but hopefully it works in my favor.
Master Blogger: What are your thoughts of River City Wrestling starting up again?
Cory Diamond: I am glad that RCW is running again it brings back memories of when I was starting, and I know a lot of young guys such as Ichigo, Mission, and Rivers can get extra work and knowledge from different workers such as MadMan Muir and whoever else is on that crew. I was encouraged to learn from as many workers as possible, because no two workers work the same. I didn't become multiple champion by sitting on my @$$ and not doing anything, but having respect for the business and the veterans who have opened the doors for guys like myself and these young guys to perform for our audiences seems to be a lost concept.
Master Blogger: Any final comments to the wrestling fans?
Cory Diamond: Stay true to yourselves and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do anything in this life, I know it's a cliche but finish school, go to college. It will be the best thing in the world for your future, and keep the dream alive but do it safely.
Master Blogger: Cory, you have been an honor to talk to for blogspot.com. Thank you for taking the time to talk to The Master Blogger.
Cory Diamond: Thank you for your time Mr. T.
Well fellow readers as I always say, in the mean time and in between time, that's it folks for another edition of the Columnist's Corner. Tune in next time when my guest will be SPW Superstar and former 2 time SPW Heavyweight Champion Marius.

Last month you were downtown trying to get that problem resolved correct the Master Blogger if I'm wrong. Could we possibly see Cory Diamond as New Brand GM again in the future?
Cory Diamond: That is correct James. It is not always rainbows and butterflies, there are egos and politics that can make anyone go bald. I'm walking proof (laughs). Sydney Manson - Also competes for S.P.W., I can see good things for him in River City.
Ichigo Yagami - The leader of the Soul Society, hails from a higher plane of existance, he is the self proclaimed and pupically acknowledged prince of the universe. My Thoughts About The Alliance Of Defiance
Today fellow readers, I thought I would give my thoughts about this new group in CWE better known as The AOD (The Alliance Of Defiance), you see my fellow readers, a few months back when Team Impact (who I consider one of my favorite tag teams) made a deal with the ''Canadian Loose Cannon'' TJ Bratt they came in ready to take over and month after month there's been another surprise. Now I, the Anonymous Master Blogger will give my opinions of what I think about each member:
''Canadian Loose Cannon'' TJ Bratt - the leader of the pack and the man who put this group together. I will always be on his side no matter what.
Team Impact - Robby Royce and ATM (Anderson Tyson Moore) have won titles everywhere they have gone, they've decimated every team that's got in their way and now that they have the CWE tag team straps, I predict they will remain champions for a long time to come.
Lacey: Team Impact's valet. Cute but dangerous. I got respect for the lovely Lacey.
Antonio Scorpio Jr. - solid hand, can work anybody, I predict good things for him.
''The Enforcer'' JP Kaos - awesome, solid hand, I got respect for Mr. Kaos.
Mentallo - The CWE champ. Fantastic wrestler, multi-talented, I will always have his respect no matter what.
All in all, despite what a lot of people might think, I think this is the greatest assembly of former stars from a rival promotion to come together and I hope they get new members in the future. Keep up the good work boys.

Columnist's Corner With Ichigo Yagami
Master Blogger: Welcome to the Columnist's Corner and I am the Master Blogger. My guest this week is one of the fastest risng young up and coming stars on the independent wrestling scene, he is the leader of the Soul Society and the next New Brand Wrestling champion, Ichigo Yagami. Welcome to the Columnist's Corner Ichigo.
Ichigo Yagami: Always happy to speak with the people, but you forgot a few things during my intro... I hail from a higher plane of existance, I am the self proclaimed & puplicly acknowledged prince of the universe, NEVER forget that again.
Master Blogger: Oh I won't! Anyway, my first question is can you tell some of the readers about your group The Soul Society?
Ichigo Yagami: The Soul Society is my stable of young, athletic & dare I say handsome with charming smiles wrestlers who are here to shake everything up. We know what is best for the people and the people are tired of seeing the vets hogging the spotlight it's time for them to move aside and allow us to take over.
Master Blogger: Precisly. I think in wrestling it is time for the veterans to step aside for the younger hungrier talent. Anyway my next question is, how would you compare New Brand Wrestling to say like PCW or CWE?
Ichigo Yagami: I have never honestly seen a CWE show so I can only comment that Mentallo is fantastic as is ATM & Scorpio whom I have seen elsewhere. PCW is clearly targeted to adults and NBW is for kids. That means not only less edge to promos and a WWE style then PCW whose style I think is more like that of ROH, and of course fans can drink at PCW.
Master Blogger: At the last New Brand show, we saw the crowning of a new heavyweight champion and you claimed that this was your show and your title. Do you have a message for the new heavyweight champion, Billy Blaze?
Ichigo Yagami: Billy Blaze is not the true champion, he cheated by not wrestling a 1st round match and sneak attacking me AFTER I won my semi-final match by KOing Ricky Rivers. Until Blaze beats me ONE on ONE I will never call him a champion, I am the TRUE NBW Champion. Billy Blaze, if you want to show I'm wrong you know how to find me.
Master Blogger: Let's switch gears here and talk about this past weekend. What was it like to step foot in a River City Wrestling ring?
Ichigo Yagami: Since I didn't grow up in Winnipeg I don't know about the history... and I don't frankly care. I came to RCW to start my own legacy and my first target "Mis$#!&" Mike Mission who is being called rookie of the year got put down not once but twice. RCW, get ready for The Soul Society to make a bigger impact March 19th.
Master Blogger: Can you tell some of the readers what your plans for the future are?
Ichigo Yagami: My plans are big, I plan to take my unique style into the NBW March 26th TLC match and become NBW World Champion I will personally see to it that Billy Blaze is FORCED out of the spot light to allow myself & The Soul Society bring in the new era. Before I do that, I have a rematch with the "Mi$#!&" Mike Mission for RCW. People may think that Mission being a young and up & comer would be a good fit in the Soul Society, but we have class and this Punk rocker with his lame hair cut and "Hardcore" style is a plauge one. I will cure in RCW on Saturday November 19th.... P.S. Punk Rock Music SUCKS, as you know James, I am close personal friends with Frank Sinatra.
Having been in APW, LPW & Tony Condello Wrestling you never know when I may turn up, say maybe on a Thursday night? No matter the promotion you can be sure I'm going to make an impact.
Master Blogger: Any final comments?
Ichigo Yagami: Thanks to you and the loyal fans who come out to all shows and go the past buying a ticket and watching the show, you guys who take pictures (Jordan Nepon shout out), blog, web shows etc. Thanks to me for being me
Master Blogger: Ichigo, you have been an honor to talk to for blogspot.com. Thank you very much for your time.
Ichigo Yagami: Thank you for blogging and helping keep wrestling alive.
Well fellow readers, in the meantime and in between time, that's it, another edition of The Columnist's Corner. Tune in next time when my guest will be Cory Diamond.

River City Wrestling Results For Saturday March 5, 2011
http://jamestuchscherer.blogspot.com/
Well my fellow readers, this afternoon, River City Wrestling made its big comeback at the Salvation Army Centre on Logan Avenue. Now this was a demonstration show with a small crew. But enough of this jibber-jabber it's time for the mysterious Master Blogger to get right down to business and give the results of the show.
Opening promo: Laurence Fozzworth III - Manager Of Champions. - Fozzworth took the mic and told Wayne that this was his time. Fozzworth claimed that he was retired from wrestling permanently but had a surprise for everyone. He got an important phone call from a man who brought him out of retirement and told him it was time to put his group back together. That man turned out to be none other than Madman Muir.
Opening Contest: Madman Muir vs. Buddy Wiser - Muir offered a handshake at the beginning but Wiser declined. Muir got out of the ring and Wiser got the fans to chant chicken-chicken-chicken. Madman choked Buddy and delivered a stiff punch for good measure and even bit him on the forehead. An irishwhip by Muir was followed by a face-rake and a bodyslam for good measure. Muir called a timeout. Buddy chased Madman Muir around the ring. Wiser got in the ring but was met with a barefoot stomp. Wiser brought in Muir the hardway but in the end as referee Rocky Augustino was distracted by The Weasel, Madman whacked Wiser with a cookie sheet for the W.
Post-match: Muir and Fozzworth continued the beatdown until Vinnie Valliant made the save. Wiser got on the mic and said if I recall correctly ''Muir, everytime you and I wrestle that Weasel interferes so me and Vinnie have not tagged up in awhile and I propose me and Vinny against you and The Weasel. At first Fozzworth declined but then said you got it!!
Promo #2 - Wayne called into the ring Billy Blaze. Billy cuts a promo saying he started in this business 10 years ago and then thanked everyone saying I think this is where you guys are supposed to clap. Wayne said maybe one day if we have enough money we will see Billy Blaze back in R.C.W.
Match #2 - Ichigo Yagami vs. ''The Misfit'' Mike Mission - This was a contest between two young up and coming wrestlers. Mission opened up with a shoulderblock to Ichigo, bodyslammed him and suplexed him for good measure. Ichigo and Mike then chased each other around the ring twice (here we go again!) but was caught off guard by Yagami as Mission rolled back into the ring with a stiff knee to the gutt followed by a back elbow. The Misfit recovered with a DDT but only got a 2 count. A clothesline for good measure was another 2 count. Mission then started choking Yagami but in the end Ichigo used a neckbreaker to pin the Misfit for the W.
Match #3 - 3 Way Dance: Sydney Manson vs. Vinnie Valliant vs. ''The Great'' Pepito - Earlier in the match Vinnie attacked Manson but Sydney delivered a low blow to both Valliant and Pepito. Manson did a legthrough move on Pepito while Vinnie delivered repeated elbows to Sydney and brought Pepito out the hardway. Pepito lowblowed Mansonm but somehow Sydney recovered. Vinnie then trapped Manson in a half crab but Manson recovered with a piledriver. Manson with an armbar on Vinnie told Pepito ''free hits'' but Pepito hit Sydney instead. Pepito then countered with a suplex but Valliant put his foot on the ropes. After a hard fought battle Pepito got the W. with a splash from the toprope
Postmatch Interview - Pepito said that he was happy to be home in R.C.W. and that win puts him in line for a title shot Vinnie then said it doesn't put you in line for a title shot it puts me in line. This led to an impromptu match 1 fall to the finish between the 2.
Impromptu Match: Vinnie Valliant vs. Pepito - a handshake between the 2 at the start of the match because both are fan favorites. Vinnie countered with a suplex but Pepito countered with a stiff knee and a stomp but Valliant recovered with 3 hard chops followed by a monkey flip, a 6.1.9., and a 450 splash for the win.
Match 4: - Madman Muir & Laurence Fozzworth III vs. Vinnie Valliant and Buddy Wiser - This match was made earlier this afternoon because of what happened in the opening contest. Wiser steps on Madman's foot and delivers a chop before tagging in Valliant but was caught off guard by Muir with a shoulderbreaker. Vinnie tagged in Buddy who countered with a legdrop from the top rope but Muir moved out of the way. Muir tagged in Fozzworth who was met with a chop by Valliant. A neckbreaker by Muir led to a tag to Fozzworth who delivered a rake to the eyes. On the outside, Muir ran Vinnie's head into the ring post. Back in the ring Madman tagged in Fozzworth who got handled by Wiser. Valliant superkicked Muir and delivered stiff punches to his head. Muir then started biting Vinnie's head and threw him through the ring to the outside. On the outside, Madman threw Valliant again into the ringpost but Wiser came out for the save and delivered a punch. However Muir would recover and bodyslam Vinnie on the hard cement before tagging in Fozzworth. Back in the ring while Muir and Wiser brawled, Valliant got the pin on Fozzworth. After the match Wiser cut a promo calling Muir Madman Manure.

Fozzworth walked out
Valliant by Mission
Muir by Blaze

CWE Commencement Of War Results For Friday March 4th
Well fellow readers, tonight Canadian Wrestling's Elite presented Commencement of War which featured former WWE Superstar and the greatest Intercontinental Champion Of All Time, The Honky Tonk Man. Now I, the mysterious Master Blogger (I am keeping my identity a secret until further notice) will cut to the chase and blog the results.
Opening Contest: Tyler Colton and Tommy Lee Curtis vs. JJ Sanchez and Big Cliff Corleone - I thought this match was a mismatch until the end. Earlier in the match Corleone shoved Tyler who went down with a shoulderblock but managed to tag TLC. Cliff somehow managed to tag in JJ. After a few roundabouts, Colton gives a flying bodypress to Sanchez but was caught off card by Cliff who delivered an elbow followed by a Corleone Crunch. JJ held Tyler in place while Cliff delivered repeated shoulders who was then slammed by Sanchez. Sanchez went up to the top rope for an elbow but Colton rolled out of the way and tagged in Curtis who delivered Sliced Bread to JJ but got a 2 count only. Another modified Sliced Bread was followed by a tag to Tyler. When this happened, both Colton and Curtis delivered a double dropkick to the Face of Country Music. At one point during the match, ''The Mecca'' Shane Madison came out and gave a bouquet of flowers to Daisy May causing JJ Sanchez to completly go berzerk. This allowed Colton to roll up Sanchez for the W. After the match, Sanchez completly lost it.
Promo: AOD (Alliance of Defiance) - The AOD (TJ Bratt, Team Impact, Antonio Scorpio Jr, Lacey) came out and TJ Bratt got on the mic saying ''Mr Ring Announcer your blood pressure could go through the roof.'' Bratt said last show they took over and started off hot and sexy and told the crowd to stand up and show respect for the lovely Lacey (woo-hoo) and then called out the newest member of the AOD and CWE Champion: Mentallo. Mentallo got on the mic and explained that he joined the AOD because when he is in Mexico, Japan, etc, the fans go with him whereas if he is in Winnipeg the fans are split (whatever that means, hopefully he will answer my questions in the Columnist's Corner one day) For those of you reading this who don't know what The Columnist's Corner is, it is my weekly interview segment on Facebook. Anyhow, he said when it came to Mentallo and Danny Duggan who did the fans go with? Danny Duggan. This caused Duggan to come from the back with a hockey stick saying Mentallo did not join the Alliance of Defiance because the fans turned against him, he joined because he knew that Danny Duggan was going to beat him for the Heavyweight Title and then called out TJ Bratt saying ''let's do this right here right now'' but Bratt said, there's no way I am doing business tonight. This brought out Rick Matthews and Duggan says ''Wrong place, wrong time'' Matthews says ''This is the damn place and this is the damn time'' Pimp Daddy goes on saying that the previous night you kicked my teeth in and delivered a mic-check from the top rope. Duggan says ''Rick Matthews, not now, I am not in the mood for it. This leads to an impromptu match.
Impromptu Match: Danny Duggan vs Rick Matthews - Duggan attacks Matthews with a hockey stick and opens his forehead but Pimp Daddy recovered and delivered a knee from the apron. Back in the ring Rick Matthews covered Hotshot but only got a 2 count. Matthews choked Danny but somehow Duggan recovered and delivered a Rock Bottom for another 2 count. Matthews delivered a Pimp Drop (Death Valley Driver) but missed a headbutt allowing Danny to deliver a Cruel Summer knee drop and then pulled out a stop sign out from under the ring and whacked Pimp Daddy 3 times before Duggan got himself disqualified. Winner by DQ, Pimp Daddy Rick Matthews.
Match 3 - 123Approved.ca Title Match - ''Beautiful'' Bobby Jay vs. ''The Brickhouse'' Paul Arcidi - Jay got on the mic and said ''Don't call me you know what'' Bobby chose a Texas Death Match as the stipulation. Arcidi delivered a spear and the Alabama Slam for the fastest 3 count ever. After the match Bobby furiously attacked Paul with his mirror and delivered a Beauty Buster before going after both Jamie Galloway and the referee.
Match 4 - Grudge Match: Kevy Chevy vs. Billy Blaze - Finally these two former tag team partners who used to call themselves The Fabulous Creebirds got it on in this grudge match. Blaze delivered stiff chops sending Chevy over the top rope as well as 3 shoulders but Chevy managed to deliver 3 of his own as well as a vicious chop but Billy recovered, delivered a jumping kick and then trapped Chevy in the Blaze Of Glory which should have been the 3 count but it was only a 2. Kevy gave a big back kick but only got a 2. Chevy delivered repeated rights followed by a foot stomp. Kevy put Billy in a sleeper but Billy countered with a spear and a back suplex but only got a 2 count. A Death Valley Driver by Chevy was another 2 count. A brainbuster suplex by Kevy was another 2 count, Chevy's piledriver was also a 2 count. Lots of 2 counts in this match but in the end, Kevy Chevy used The Pin to beat Billy and pick up the 1-2-3.
Match 5 - CWE Tag Team Title Match: Team Impact w/Lacey vs. Boyz In Da Hood - Royce and Brian traded lefts and rights before tagging ATM who delivered a bodyslam before a doubleslam with Royce for a 2 count. Rapper clipped Team Impact and put a Rocker Dropper on ATM. ATM recovered and superkicked Rich before tagging Royce who dropkicked Rich. The champs then went after Rapper but Scotty delivered a double DDT to both men followed by both Boyz delivering 10 punches but the Boyz did not have enough to get passed Team Impact. The champs delivered a High Tide for the W.
Match 6: AJ Sanchez vs The Honky Tonk Man - Sanchez attacked Honky with the mic but Honky recovered and reversed the arm bar followed by a stomp but the former CWE Heavyweight Champ fought back by choking Honky with a foreign object and followed up with a double elbow for a 2 count. Honky choked AJ with his own wrist tape followed by 10 straight punches. As Honky set up AJ Sanchez for the Shake, Rattle & Roll, TJ Bratt and Team Impact came out and attacked The Honky Tonk Man. After the match, Bratt tried to make AJ an offer to join the AOD, but AJ said, No. This led to The AOD attacking AJ. Winner by DQ Honky Tonk Man
Match 7: Zack Mercury beat Antonio Scorpio Jr.
Match 8: Kenny Omega and Mentallo fought to a double countout.
River City Wrestling Re-Opens Its Doors
http://jamestuchscherer.blogspot.com/
Well fellow readers, it's just a couple of days away, this Saturday afternoon, River City Wrestling for the first time in a long time is going to re-open its doors and I, yours truly, the mysterious Master Blogger can't wait!!. Now this show is just a small show, it's a demonstration show. It's their first get together to discuss the best place for the ring, best place for the lights, the curtains, etc. They are going to have a good solid crew because there is a good hunch that Buddy Wiser will be there, a good chance Vinnie Valliant will be there, a good chance Pepito will be there, Madman Muir, Dirty Dick Walker.
Now when you look at others who could be an assett to the company, you think of these veterans: Bobby Collins who was part of the original RCW, Brian Jewel could be an assett. Jewel was part of also part of the original R.C.W. crew, Dave Levinsky could also be an assett to the company and Dave was also part of the original R.C.W. as was the next name I am going to mention Bugsy Slugg who was part of the Reservoir Dogs tag team who in my opinion were the real Sharp Dressed Men of independent wrestling.
Guys like Collins would be great because if there are going to be a lot of young guys on the crew, they will need the veterans to pave the way for them to be in the business LOL. Back in my days when I was going to watch River City, some of the guys I liked watching were Collins, Caveman Broda, Todd Bullet, Brian Jewel, Bobby Jay and others. If you have never seen Broda wrestle, he is someone who always gave the fans what they wanted and made sure everyone went home happy.
Now down the road, River City will be looking for other venues ie: Chalmer's even though wrestling has not been there for a long time, I have a good feeling they could go back there again. Another example would be Norquay and also Broadway even though it had its ups and downs and the rampway was to the ring.
They will eventually get a website going and once the website launches they are going to put an article on the Tulip. Now the location for this first show is Salvation Army where they have portible basketball nets, 3:00 bell time. The Salvation Army is where they will start but eventually will be looking for new locations as they are still in the developmental stage. Wayne will not announce the shows, they will have a female announcer by the name of Leah Maria Maivia who is set to debut within 30 days for the new River City Wrestling. All in all this should be a good show this coming Saturday and what else can I say but come on out and support the local business. I know I will!!!

Columnist's Corner With The Great Pepito
http://jamestuchscherer.blogspot.com/
Master Blogger: Welcome to the Columnist's Corner and I am your host, The mysterious Master Blogger. Fantastic reaction to first interview. One here from Jeff in Winnipeg says: ''Great Job Master Blogger''. Thank you very much Jeff. Also one here from Shauna also lives in Winnipeg says ''Master Blogger, I did not know Lynn Adams was a wrestler''. Yes indeed Shauna, she was a wrestler/manager with River City Wrestling. Louis is trying to get her back but with River City. Now enough of the e-mails, let's get to the show. My guest this week, is a man who has done it all in the wrestling business, a man who is greater than great and he is currently one half of the New Brand Wrestling tag team champions with La Sombra, and he will be on the card this Saturday for River City Wrestling at the Salvation Army Centre on Logan Avenue, The Great Pepito. Welcome Pepito to the Columnist's Corner.
Pepito: No. Thank you for having me. I am honored.
Master Blogger: You are welcome. For my first question, can you tell some of the new readers out there just how you broke in to the business and who your influences were? A little brief history of The Great Pepito.
Pepito: Well, I come from a wrestling family back in El Salvador. So yeah wrestling is in our blood.
Master Blogger: How would you compare New Brand Wrestling to other top promotions?
Pepito: Well good question. Every promotion I work for is different, and so is the crew you work with, but New Brand Wrestlng has been my home for a while and the crew is like family to me.
Master Blogger: Let's switch gears here and talk about River City Wrestling because tomorrow they are going to have their first show in a long time at the Salvation Army Centre on Logan. What are your thoughts of River City starting up again and re-opening its doors?
Pepito: To tell you the truth, I am glad that RCW is opening the doors once again because Wayne is a great promoter who takes care of us and his company. I'm happy to work for RCW. Wayne made me the star that i am today. I have won a couple of titles.
Master Blogger: Can you describe the shows that are happening on March 5th and March 19th?
Pepito: I'm excited to be part of RCW tomorrow. I wasn't aware of the March 19. But Wayne can make it #1 show really fast.
Master Blogger: In my previous interview with Louis, he said on March 19 they are going to completely embarrass New Brand as well as C.C.W. Will you be on the card tomorrow afternoon?
Pepito: Yes I am booked for tomorrow's show and any other shows coming up. I have got a busy agenda (laughs) and as for Louis, he talks too much but no action.
Master Blogger: Besides yourself, who else can fans expect to see on the new RCW roster?
Pepito: Well, all I can tell you is that Wayne has booked Madman Muir, Vinny Valiant, Buddy Wiser, plus a few other original RCW top wrestlers.
Master Blogger: When people think of great high flyers in the world of independent wrestling, they think of Robby Royce and Vance Nevada, they think of Slick Nick, they think of ''The Misfit'' Mike Mission, I could go on and on, the late great Joey Blitz, Ricky Rivers but most of all, they think of you because you always provided great family friendly entertainment so my question Pepito is when someone comes up to you and says to you and says to you ''Pepito, you were one of the greatest high flyers of all time'', what does that mean to you looking back on your career?
Pepito: It makes my heart beat faster and I am proud of my roots. I think many fans will never forget me and whoever has followed my career. Without the fans I wouldn't have never got what i have today. I look back at all my hard work and dedication for wrestling. Without it I am nothing.
Master Blogger: Any final comments to your fans?
Pepito: Yes. I want to thank all my fans around the world and to my family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the support they have given me and special thanks to you too for taking your time to do this interview.
Master Blogger: Pepito, it has been an honor to speak to you for blogspot.com. Thank you for your time.
Pepito: Thank you it has been a pleasure doing this interview with you. Hope to see at the show.
Master Blogger: I am going to be there.
That's it for this edition of the Columnist's Corner, in my next edition, my guest will be Soul Society leader Ichigo Yagami.
