River City Wrestling Results For Saturday May 28

Today, River City Wrestling presented Wanted Man at the Salvation Army on the corner of Logan and Lizzie. But enough of all this chattering, let's get to the results as provided by none other than the most positive force in Winnipeg Independent Wrestling, me, The Master Blogger.

Opening Promo: The RCW GM announced that due to what happened last show he has suspended Madman Muir (that was bullshit in my opinion) so he was not on the card that afternoon. He will be back next show But...The General Manager has plans.

Opening Contest - The Executioner vs. ''Misfit'' Mike Mission - Executioner backed Mission to the corner, Mission then tripped up the Executioner and repeatedly whacked him in the head. Executioner rammed the Misfit's head into the turnbuckle but Mission bounced back with a rollup for a 2 count. Executioner rammed repeated shoulders to the Misfit but Mission recovered however, he ran into a shoulder, a bodyslam and a kneedrop. Mission would bounce back with a bulldog but only got a 2 count. Mission then tried a Vader Bomb but only got a 2. Finally, he used his patented Mission Statement DDT to put the big guy away.

Match #2 - Reggie Gallagher vs. Nacho Slurpee - Throughout the course of the match, Gallagher was taunted by the crowd. Nacho countered with 2 perfect rollups but both times got a 2 count. Back in the ring, Reggie delivered hard rights and an irish whip but when he went for a clothesline in the corner, he missed. Reggie delivered a neckbreaker, a legdrop and choked Slurpee but only got a 2. Gallagher tried a piledriver but twice it was blocked. Finally, a superkick was enough to put Nacho Slurpee away for the 3.

Match #3 - Samuel vs. The Great Pepito - Samuel backed Pepito to the left turnbuckle in a chokehold and delivered repeated kicks and a powerslam followed by yet another chokehold. The Great Pepito tried repeated kicks of his own as well as a shoulderblock but could not chop down the big oak tree (just a blogger's joke there folks) until a top rope clothesline finally took Samuel down. Pepito fell prey to a chokeslam but only got a 2 count. Pepito put Samuel in an armbar and tried boots and punches to the gutt but ran into a cookie sheet shot while trying a dive. Pepito delivered a double ax-handle to Samuel and used a chair but in the end, Samuel choked out Pepito and would not let go until La Sombra came in and made the save. Winner by DQ: The Great Pepito

Intermission: several wrestlers came out to sign autographs

Weasel's Den with Samuel - Samuel came out with a mysterious man (many suspect that was Tom Hallick but I don't know) Anyway, this mysterious man announced that Fozzworth had been a thorn in the side of both Samuel and his partner and ordered an attack on Fozzworth until La Sombra made the save. Laurence Fozzworth III made an announcement: Wayne Stanton and Carol Stanton have sold River City Wrestling to him yes folks, Laurence Fozzworth III now owns RCW and he granted La Sombra a match with Samuel leading to an impromptu match

Impromptu Match - La Sombra vs. Samuel - Sombra delivered a boot to the breadbasket and chopped him down with a dropkick but was caught off guard with a backbreaker and a foot choke but Sombra tried a headscissors. Samuel delivered a vicious powerbomb and ran La Sombra into the chair and choked him yet again. La Sombra recovered with a 619 and a headscissors. Sombra tried a high risk move but his head ran into the trash can lid that Samuel brought into the ring for the 3 count.

Match #4 - Billy Blaze vs. Dirty Dick Walker (Falls Count Anywhere) - Walker attacked Billy from the opening bell but Billy recovered with a vicious clothesline and a shoulderblock but Walker whacked him into the trash can lid and rammed his head into the ring post. Walker pinned Blaze outside the ring but only got a 2 count. The Dirty One poured on with a legdrop and a head stomp but Blaze recovered by whacking Dirty Dick with a belt causing Walker to yell ''I'm blind!!'' and also by ramming his head into the chalk board. Back in the ring, Billy delivered hard rights followed by a stiff kick for a 2. The Dirty One fought back with a clothesline. Blaze tried a rollup but only got a 2. Both men then fought to the back thus ending the match (or so we thought)

Match #5 - Marius vs. Vinnie Valiant - Marius attacked Vinnie from the opening bell but Vinnie bounced back with a sunset flip for a 2. Marius turned the tables with a vicious clothesline, an armbar and a guttwrench powerslam. Vinnie came back with a monkey flip. Marius delivered a Perfect-Plex for a 2. Valiant would deliver a suplex of his own and a crossbody block for a 2. Vinnie rammed Marius into the reff. This allowed Marius to deliver a Peyote Piledriver. Vinnie recovered but in the end, Marius delivered a second Peyote Piledriver ontop of a trash can lid for the W meaning win.

Billy Blaze vs. Dick Walker con't - Both men had come in from outside the parking lot and the match picked up where it left off allowing Blaze to get the win with a backslide.
